  • EP45-DS3L Problems

    Hi there,

Found this forum using google search. I have problems with my EP45-DS3L. I initially had 2 x 1GB RAM and the system worked fine. But when i added 2 more in, the system would just hang after a while of running.

FYI, I did not buy this computer to overclock or anything so I would expect it to work without tweaks. I have zero knowledge in overclocking so please bear with me and tell me what is wrong? The rams are fine as I've tried them in nearly all combination in 2 sticks, but 4 sticks are a problem.

    System Config:

    EP45-DS3L
    Intel Q9550
Corsair XMS2 1GB DDR2-800 ram x 4. Two batches of two. On the ram it reads:
    5-5-5-18 / 5-5-5-12
    800MHz / 800MHz
    1024MB / 1024MB
    XMS2-6400 /XMS2-6400
    1.90V ver5.2 / 1.90V ver7.3
Asus 7600GS Silent heatpipe graphics card.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

    Re: EP45-DS3L Problems

Well first off, you do have to tweak the BIOS a little bit for 4x1GB of ram. Second you SHOULD have matching sets, which you do not.

But I will try to help you get them going together.

Try these settings for stock with your setup >>>>>
