    Hello, I'm sort of new to using Gigabyte boards and was simply wondering if I could get any help getting optimal performance out of my memory. I'm using a Q6600 G0 along with this set of G.Skill RAM

    Newegg.com - G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1000 (PC2 8000) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory
    (apparently it went up 50 bucks over the time I bought them)

    I use this machine for games as well as a workstation for college. I do a lot of work in High Performance Computing with OpenMP and starting to look into Brook with my HD4850. So stability is important. I have no intentions of OC'ing but rather trying to get some solid timings.

    $50 more? I see price as $67, what did you pay for them? Just wondered why you said that, unless you mean the original price. Yeah, they often change many prices at the Egg.

    So are you stable with the above and just want to tweak things a bit for best performance? If so then try these settings >>>

Then change this only, then reboot. Then set Static tRead Value to 7-8 only and reboot. Then you can enter the rest all at once

    These are ranges, set to the highest for each first, then slowly work your way backwards testing with Memtest86+ after each move
