      Re: GA-EP45-DS3R + Gskill F2-8800CL5D-4GBPI

Yes, you can use 1.9. People you see using 2.1 or more is just because they are either trying a high overclock on their ram, or their ram specs is 2.1 or so. Even if your ram is rated at 1.9, you can use 2.0 or so and still be within your warranty, but it is not likely needed at all. I would think the most you would need would be 1.9-2.0

I can help you with settings once you get going, just let me know. I dont think anyone has posted with those new PQI G.Skills but plenty of posts here for 8500 G.Skills

For 2x2GB you will need to for sure set MCH voltage to 1325-1.3, set trfc to 52-62 and manually set ram voltages.

Yes, you can use that ram for sure. If you can find Mushkins (Black or Blue) where you live, they would be better I think. But yes those will for sure work in your board

        Tkz LSD

        Well,
this time already bought my RAM.

        Gskill F2 - 8500CL5D - 4GB PK

and i m very disappointed with it, cant start my system... all config i do on bios give me BSD, freezes, etc...

After testing separate ram modules with Memtest, really strange thing happen, 1 of the modules pass without errors and the other one give me 1 error at the beginning.
I tested the ram on other Motherboard and all tests pass without errors.

Is this possible? only 1 ram modulo giving error? they not suppose to be equal?

Anyway, i m out of ideas, i tried all basic configurations on bios (F10), but still have 1 error always at same modulo and same position.

Can bad bios config do this ?

        Tkz LSD :D~

          Re: GA-EP45-DS3R + Gskill F2-8800CL5D-4GBPI

If you stick gives you errors then it may be DOA and you will need to RMA the pair.

As for getting them all going at once you may need to set several things first in the BIOS for 4GB.

But if you do have one stick that errors in the same spot, no matter what slot it is in then you should return it for sure as it is dying.

Let me know what you decide
