GA-MA78GM-S2H couple of questions..

i just got my hands on this board and pairing it with a 5400+ BE as well as with some OCZ Reaper 2x1gb 1066 sticks. So since i got a black edition cpu i went out and bought a cpu heatsink and fan and decided on the OCZ vanquisher which is rather huge and blocks the first two slots of RAM. i was reading the manual and noticed that it says if only using two memory slots to use the two that are blocked. since i cant are there any down sides to using # 3 & 4 as opposed to 1 and 2?

Another question i have is does the atlhon 64 x2 5400+ support ram at 1066? or does it only run at 800mhz? Thanks so much for your help..

just read up on the processor looks like the ram will be running at 800mhz unless overclocked as supported by the cpu. phenoms run at 1066.

You will be fine using slot 3+4
