Ahh ok, thought so but wasnt sure.

Your ram may not do 1000 stable so if you cannot get stable that is likely why

          Re: GA-EP35-DS3R and E8500

i think i do need new Ram, as i can have it stable at 3.8 GHz but not 4Ghz just ran a 3 hour test with memtest no errors but it just wont go above that 800Mhz line :S

just running orthos and at 3.8 Ghz my core's are cool

          core #0 41 oC
          core #1 39 oC

So i can push it to the 4 GHz but not with this ram :(

hmmm at a lower setting 5-5-5-12 it will run Memtest unlike before will leave it running for a while

          2 passes so far

          What would u recogmend 4-4-4-12 or 5-5-5-12?

            Re: GA-EP35-DS3R and E8500

I would suggest 555-15 for 844Mhz, then once you are sure that is stable you can try to lower each one starting with CAS. If CAS to 4 fails, then put back on 4 and try to lower the other 3 one by one

Just because it fails memtest doesnt mean it is not going to work, it just means you need to adjust settings is all. So you likely do not need new ram

Ahh, you will be fine >>>
                CPU-Z Validator 2.1 ~ 4.41Ghz

That only took a minute or two of messing around, I think they will easily go much higher

Nice job though, I see you are getting somewhere now!

I think you left out some images or something?

You have to change to the next memory multiplier up to change ratio's, so 2.40 instead of 2.00 would be the next one you could use but that will raise ram speeds. You cannot downclock the ram ratio

Yes, Geil is good, black dragons are their better models. You may want to compare prices of 2x2 kits instead of a 8GB kit or 2 x 4GB kits as it is normally cheaper to buy 2 kits of 2x2, then it is to buy 4gb or 8gb together as one package. But not always

What is your full settings for that? Since it wont boot into windows, but passes memtest I think you need some other adjustments voltagewise
