  • GA-EP45-DS4 - optimal BIOS settings

I just got my new system up and running:

    Gigabyte GA EP-45 DS4
    Intel E8500
    Mushkin 2x2 Gb 8500 (996599)
    Gainward HD4850 GS
    Samsung 750 Gb
    Corsair 650W
And a couple of fans and other stuff
    Windows Vista x64

Everything works just fine, except for CPU-Z reporting the memory to be PC2-6400. So I guess I don't have the right settings in BIOS?

What are the optimal settings in BIOS? I don't want to OC yet, just to get everything stable for now, later I will play around with OC.

    Best regards from Sweden
    /Nicke

Re: GA-EP45-DS4 - optimal BIOS settings

        Looks very nice!

Ya, you will have to add some vcore for sure and you may need to drop the ram multi down as well. And you will likely have to loosen some or all of those ram timings until you find out how high you want to push your CPU.
