Gigabyte X48-DQ6 reboot/hang problem 2

I have the same problem. Sometimes, before the post, when the memory text is in the screen, the computer reboots just once, then all is ok.

My computer:
E8400 3.0Ghz
2x2 Kingston 800 Mhz (Epida chips) 1.8V
8800 GT Asus Glaciator

And BIOS options are:

I do not know why Auto is giving you 6 above, it is 555-18 ram right?

I would suggest F7

You will need MCH voltage +0.2 or +0.25, not +0.025 that is not enough. I updated my first post as well

I was setting my BIOS when I realised that the value I had writtten was not correct for Static tRead. The correct value is:

Static tRead Phase Adjust________ 16 (Auto)

The 2 value was for Command rate.

I must set Static tRead adjust to zero anyway?

P.S. My memory is 1.8 and Everest tell me, in Auto mode, that memory is set to 1.88V, Do you think +.1 is a good idea?

Yes, always use Zero for t Read phase adjust.

What does CPU-Z say in the SPD tab for EPP profiles voltage? Or what does it say on the sticker of your ram? Or the page where you bought it?

Well +0.1 is safe for 1.8V sticks, but since you are already getting 1.88 then I would say you are fine if it is indeed 1.8V only ram.

I say that and asked the above info because there is several places in everest where you could see ram voltage, and it may or may not be your Spec'd voltage, but rather a JEDEC profile.

If you are not looking at Motherboard, SPD tab in everest please do, and see what it says there towards the bottom for your "Enhanced Performance Profile". This is your Spec voltage. Here is a image if you are not sure what I meant >>>

About the rest of settings I am doing them step by step. For the moment, I have increased (G)MCM and this night I will set t Read phase adjust to 0 (and other configurations).

As you know, this is a random issue, then I prefer doing this changes step by step and checking them.

For the moment, after having increased (G)MCM, the issue has dissapeared but I can not be sure yet.

1.88 would be fine, as would be 1.91. Most DDR2 ram will handle 2.0 anyway, so you should be fine with either.

That is good going one by one, that way if you get a error you know which setting you changed caused it.

2x2GB just needs some adjustments to be stable is all, Something Auto generally will not get correctly

No, 1 will make static tRead Value be 1 lower at certain times. You can enter 0, did you try both Zero's on your keyboard? Numlock on for the numberpad?

Yes I did, but I couldn't. My BIOS does not let me put 0. The lowest value I can set is 1 (choice-table)... but for the moment having increased (G)MCM voltage and having done all the rest you told me, my computer seems to work well.

Let me look into this on my board, you should be able to set it on Auto or Zero (I thought) Use Auto if you can.

Otherwise remember that if you use 1 there, Static tRead Value will be -1

I'll check my BIOS right now, but You should be able to set 1-31, Zero or Auto I think. I know for sure one of those work as I use it, I know for a FACT you do not have to use a Value.
