Cannot connect to internet after updating BIOS

I recently update my EP43-DS3L BIOS from F4 to F7. before update,my network work properly.but after updating,it my windows says limited connection.why is that?

Did you redo your BIOS settings for you LAN connection like before? When you flash a BIOS and load optimized defaults then save and apply and reboot then all BIOS changes you made before will be gone

Please check over your LAN Settings and see that they are correct in the BIOS Integrated Peripherals page

Onboard H/W LAN Enabled
Green LAN Disabled
SMART LAN Press Enter
Onboard LAN Boot ROM Disabled

Yeah, well when you flash a BIOS and load Optimized defaults, they may or may not be setup as you had them before.

You are using the Onboard Ports for your connection right?

You would want >>>
Onboard H/W LAN Enabled
Green LAN Enabled
SMART LAN Press Enter
Onboard LAN Boot ROM Disabled << does not matter unless you plan to boot to the network. It will allow you to boot from the network card, assuming that in your network there is a system configured as RIS server

Still cant connect.keep saying limited connectivity lolz.my wireless router working fine as im using it with this laptop.

Maybe you need to reinstall the driver again. Sometimes Drivers can become corrupt for no reason. I would install the chipset driver and The LAN Driver off the cd again or download the latest online

You could also try deleting the connection you have setup in your connections window, and re-create the connection to the router

Bout the CD,i didnt have it >.< check inside my mobo box.didnt have.maybe my seller forgot to put the cd back inside lolz =.=""

Well it should be there unless you got a used board.

You do need them both, I would install chipset first, reboot then LAN

hey,just installed realtek LAn driver.works like a charm.can connect to internet automatically.no need to reinstall chipset.hehe.thx again Lsdmeasap.

Hate it when I try to help, but am on the other side of the world and cannot get things fixed as easily as if I was there. Nice when it works out!

You should install chipset drivers though if you did not off your disk. As they control many things like USB Speed and CD/DVD devices. So they should be installed

i didnt touch the chipset driver yet.so,nothing change.i just uninstall the LAN driver only.
