I know this problem has been discussed before, but I'm wondering if there's any new developments to fixing this problem.
Specs:
GA-EP43-DS3L (1.0)
Intel e7200 C2D
2x2 GB Crucial ddr2-800
Radeon 3850
I set up the computer, everything worked fine. I was able to get into the bios (f4). I had a usb flash drive with the latest bios (f7) so I decided to update.
After that completed successfully, I restarted and that's where it stopped posting and continued to restart after a few seconds of inactivity. Everything powers up, but the keyboard doesn't light up and the monitor is blank.
I'm pretty sure none of my components are the culprit, since it worked fine until I updated the bios. Nevertheless I tried all the ram and psu switching to no avail. Cleared the cmos, too.
Don't gigabyte boards have the dual-bios feature where it will switch to the original bios if a bios update goes bad? I see nothing of that nature here.
The worst part of this is that everything was working until I upgraded the bios for no real reason other than wanting to have the latest version. More likely than not I would've been fine with the old bios. Oh well, live and learn. Thanks for any help.
