  • P35-DS3R cuts off after 10-15 seconds

I built this computer a few months ago, and it's been working great until just this week. I moved away, and brought my computer with me. No other changes. Now when I boot it up, it works fine for about a few seconds, then everything just shuts off with no visual warning. I removed most of the parts in my computer, and this still happens.

I have an Antec P180 case, which doesn't seem to have a case speaker, so I can't tell if anything is being reported there.

    Parts in right now:
    GA-P35-DS3R
    Intel Q6600
    OCZ GSX 600W PSU
    2x 1GB GSkill DDRII
    EVGA 8800GT

    Any help is appreciated.

    Edit: Oops, DS3R

Hmm well in a move you could have bumped something loose. What I would do is remove it ALL from the case like you just got a new board, and reinstall everything. CPU included

Exactly, a heavy CPU heatsink can displace the CPU from its socket. Beware to power-up the computer in that condition!

        Yes, Thanks svcglobal!

I didn't even think of that. Be sure your pins under the CPU are all straight as well
