  • New official F5 BIOS for EP35-DS3L!

    Hi!
I saw another thread that a F5 BIOS was killing the GA-X48T-DQ6 users. Is the new F5 BIOS for the EP35-DS3L good to go? I rather ask a stupid question than find myself with a dead mobo :).
So? Anyway, flashed it to the latest official F5 BIOS? I'm currently on the F5c beta BIOS, which has worked perfectly for me.
I see that one of the features of the new F5 BIOS is DES Advanced support. That sounds great! Anyone tried it so far?

    Thanks!

Works fine for me. E8400 at 4.0G/1.3250vdc rock solid stable

If you overclock you should keep DES turned off.

      Hi!
Great, I'll give it a try. I knew DES should be off when overclocking, but the ting is, that the "Advanced" one is supposed to work perfectly with any system modifications, like OCing. Just wanted to verify, cause if it allows it... why not use it?

Bah, tried it and killed my DPC latency again. Going back to F5C, which was great with that issue. How can a Beta BIOS be better than an official release? Meh...

NVM, I forgot I'm using a Rage XL 32MB PCI video card temporarily heh. I'm guessing the F5 will be pretty good when I get rid of it.
BTW, I cant figure out how to edit posts! :S

There were probably many issues in the F5 public release that were resolved. Just not DPC.

It will recognize an E8600 according to the CPU list
