  • EP35-DS4 using both PCIe 16x slots - any known problems?

    Hi all,

I am wondering if I use both PCIe 16x slots simultaneously, does it guarantee one (PCIe_1) will run at 16x and (PCIe_2) will run at 4x, without issue or problems?

I realise the PCIe 1x slots are disabled when slot (PCIe_2) is used. That's OK, I don't need those.. but what I want to do is run a SATA RAID controller (which is PCIe 4x) simultaneously with a graphics card in the (PCIe_1) slot, but want to ensure it (graphics card) will run at 16x and there to be no bandwidth issues.

Will the above work without any foreseeable problem(s)?

    Thanks

Yeah they will work perfectly...just the PCI-e x1 slots ALL wont work.

In reality the orange x16 slot is a x1 originally but 3 of the ICH9R's PCI-e lanes are routed the the x16 slot to make it x4 speeds.

If something is plugged into the x1 slot[Black] the x16 orange will slow down to X1.
