    GA-P35-DS3L F8 Bios

    GIGABYTE - Support - Motherboard - BIOS - GA-P35-DS3L (rev. 2.0)

    Is this a final (and the last) bios for my board?
    F8a, F8b, and F8f are no longer on the support site.
    What did this change and or fix, if anything?

    What it did for me:
    SpeedStep is broken
    -stays @ 6x multi and cpuz and everest show underclock all the time

    Half muliplier option in bios is no longer available

    Seriously and respectfully I ask what the situation is so I can know what to do.
    -go back to F8f and work with it

    F8 is not workable if that's the deal
    betas above F8f do not hold o'c

      Ahh, Sorry I did not comment earlier I thought maybe you wanted community comments.

      I would assume it is final since you say they pulled the beta's. Hey, I went and checked and I see the beta's you mentioned (a, b, & f) and no final.... So it may not be final after all >>>

      So... Did you load optimized/save/apply/reboot after flashing to F8? Have you now tried going back to F7? (I would try this, if you do have a older 775 CPU just incase) I see many using unsupported BIOS's with newer CPU's, but dont try it if you dont have a older CPU on hand or easily accessible. I believe from comments I read the F7 Supports 45nm, just not the quads, but like I said please only try if you have another 775 to use just incase it does not work out

      Do you want a specific Beta Posted for you here that is not on that page? If so I can find ya some links

          Yeah, I seen that as well, just letting you know they did not pull them on my side of things

            I have this board and updated to the F8 BIOS last night (was previously running the beta F8f version). After the update, my computer would randomly reboot, programs would crash and I received one 8E blue screen. I did try resetting the BIOS to fail-safe options, but that made no difference. I've since reverted back to the F8f BIOS and so far everything seems fine. I never had any problems at all with F8f. The only reason I upgraded was that I figured I should be running the release version of F8 BIOS instead of beta since it was available. I guess the "If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it" adage applies here. BTW, I'm not o/c'ing at all.

                The F8 bios runs and overclocks my system the same as F8a, which is just fine. Other than the additions like the half multiplier and GTLREF Voltage Control the only change I see is Normal CPU Vcore.

                The F8a showed 1.15 and now F8 shows 1.225.

                It doesn't matter as my system still runs on 1.10 volts for stock and 3.3GHz and needs 1.15 volts for 3.6GHz.

                BTW that small overclock is exactly the same as stock except for the FSB at 367. (E8400, 367*9=3303) The Performance Enhance is set at Turbo, Static tRead (tRD) Value at 6, and absolutely no increase in temps over running stock. Though I do run with speed step enabled even at 3.6GHz. It keeps temps, power use and noise down by using top CPU speed only when needed.

                Edit: Sorry for my mistake. This bios doesn't have GTLREF Voltage Control.
