  • GA-X38-DQ6 won't boot - scanning for BIOS

I unplugged everything from my PC, moved it about 10 feet, plugged everything back in and when I tried to boot the PC I get the following messages:

    Award Boot Block BIOS V1.0

Scanning BIOS Image in Hard Drive
    ...

After the message appear the system powers off and then back on and the same messages are displayed. The system does this over and over again.

I know the system drive works because I plugged into another computer and was able to access it.

Any ideas on what I should do next. The mother board is a GA-X38-DQ6.

    Thanks for your help.

Never mind, I was able to clear CMOS and get things working again.

Lucky you! Be sure to lock PCIE Freq to 100. Just incase that caused it, and if you have a floppy install it and set it as the first boot device incase you run into this issue later on it may come in handy
