    IRQ question

    I discovered my video card in PCI-E x16 slot is sharing same IRQ as the sound card in PCI-E x1 slot. I don't understand why the BIOS put those two on the same IRQ, but isn't it better to have them on separate IRQ's?

    MB: EX38-DS4 with F3 BIOS.

    Shared IRQ's are no big deal...

      Both sound card and video card on same IRQ is fine? I remember advice in the past was to have them on separate IRQ's. Funny thing is, in Vista they show up in Resources as not having any conflict.

        That is fine I would think, and you would see a conflict if there was indeed a issue
