GA-X48-DS5 rebooting

Hi

Just bought a bunch of new components and the system, boots, shuts off CPU fan, starts CPU fan, powers off, and then continues like this.

Specs:
Q6600 (G0)
2 GiG OCZ Gold XTC DDR2 PC6400 (duel kit, tried with 1 stick)
Corsair HX620 PSU
nVidia 8800GTS

I have tried the memory out (beeps), in different slots etc.
I have tried another PSU that works with a 4600 AMD system, same problem
Tried 2x12V and 4x12V connectors, same problem
No 2 or 4 12V connectors does not reboot the system
CPU out does not reboot system

I will be getting a new CPU tomorrow to try, but some help would be greatly appreciated.

You sure your power switch is connected properly? I would suggest one stick of ram, and nothing else connected drives or anything. And if you can and have a older gfz card, pcie or pci try that, I have helped a couple people here with DOA 8800GT and GTS, have you used this card before? Can you test it elsewhere

Thank you very much for such a quick response.

As it turns out, I had some other 6400 OCZ here, and in explaining to my gf that the RAM cant possibly be the problem and shoving in the other OCZ, the damn thing posts.

So, case closed for now.

Yeap! Some ram just wont work, some needs voltage adjusted BEFORE you put it in. So you could try that, set the proper voltages for the ram you wanted to use, then shut down and put it in
