  • 2x h/d setup on my Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R

hi i've built a system with a Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R mobo.
the trouble is i got the first sata h/d to work ok.
but the second isn't recognised by either vista or xp (dual booting).
it is recognised though in the bios.
the hard drives are 500gb sata drives
    thanks

Is it brand new? If so you will have to format it with the manufacturer disk tools first to make it active for use.

What brand is it and I will get you a link to the tools you need

How are the drives jumpered? Use CS, I had this problem when using master and slave.
      Take care,

SATA drives do not use jumpers. If you have a jumper on the back of the drive remove it as it is ONLY there to limit the drive speed to 1.5gb/s or SATA I
