Going through my Board specs, I noticed the following:
Front Side Bus: 1600/1333/1066/800 MHz FSB
Memory: 4 x 1.8V DDR2 DIMM.....
Dual Channel ........
Support for DDR2 1066/800/667 MHz memory modules
Since FSB values from the specs appear to be Quad-pump values, actual FSB would be max of 400 and min of 200Mhz, right ?
Now usually mem freq is derived from FSB with FSBx2,
hence max for this board is 400Mhz FSB , mem will run at 800MHz ???
The spec sayz 1066, indicating it can push to 533Mhz...
Something doesn't add up here, or maybe the FSB is not tied to mem directly in a FSBx2 formula... Can someone share some knowledge on this...
