  • Problem with BIOS recognizing memory

Hi, I had recently updated my OS from Windows XP (dunno if 32 or 64 bit) to Windows 7 (64 bit) and changed it to a new HDD, the problem i have is that the BIOS and the OS are only recognizing 4 out of 8 Gb of ram (2 sticks of 4 Gb each).
    I've tried:
    • Updating my BIOS version.
    • Testing each stick individually (still half of the ram).
    • Removing the 3V battery on the Motherboard for 5 min.

I hope that this is not serious problem and that it could be easily fixed. If someone could give me some guidance on what to do next, will be greatly appreciated.

Hi, please kindly enable XMP profile in BIOS, and check the "windows task manager" performance section, and you will see the memory size(MB).

Let us know if you have any question with it.

Ok, I've tried this and I still have half of what it would be expected

Re: Problem with BIOS recognizing memory

        Hi,

As your mentioned before, two memory had been test individually without issue but will not work with two at the same time?

The Windows 7 (64 bit) should be able to recognized the full 8GB as well, please kindly try each memory slots on the motherboard to ensure the board is fine,
if the issue still there, please send the memory back for RMA.

        Sorry for the inconvenient!
