Question in regards to checking RAM on ROG Maximus VII Gene

Which is the best program to use to check RAM, MemTest 86+ ver 5.01, or MemTest 86 ver 8.0?

The reason I'm asking is that the Asus ROG Maximus VII Gene uses DDR3 plus it has a UEFI BIOS and ver 5.01 checks DDR3 where Ver 8.0 checks DDR4 but supports DDR2 & 3.

Why are you testing the memory? If your having issue's try only 1 stick at a time to corner the suspect, I do not consider memtest at all on any of my hardware as its so old.
