Despite the [newest hotfix intended to fix flickering monitors for the GTX 1070](GeForce Hotfix driver 368.51), which may have made the issue worse, and the fact that flickering wasn't just because of games, my monitor continues to flicker randomly and I don't know what to do. It usually only happens for 5-10m after booting up, though it's actually been happening for awhile now as I've been typing up this post, and it's very irritating. This issue also didn't start until yesterday's booting up, of which AFAIK, nothing changed between the previous night and the following morning. This is also a new build as I've only had the GPU for about a week, and the rest of the build < 2 weeks. Oh and if it changes anything, I'm using DisplayPort for the connection. I also have a secondary 1440x900 monitor that I don't even know what model it is outside of being some Acer, but I know it's specifically the monitor-GPU or monitor-cable interaction because said secondary monitor doesn't act up at all. Edit: Brand new to these forums, and after filling out all that information about my rig, I figured it'd be somewhere on my profile but I don't see it, so if you need it and can't find it like I can't, let me know :)

Re: Asus VG248QE flickering problems
I have this monitor and have flickering issues if used with Displayport.
My mobo is ASUS H170 Pro Gaming and the built-in graphics is Intel HD Graphics 530.
Although, I haven't tried it yet with a GPU since I am waiting for mine to arrive.
For the meantime, a Bump to this issue, as I may encounter this problem if my GPU arrives.

Re: Asus VG248QE flickering problems
its a problem with the dp port. i have the same monitor and the same problem over dp
if i have the monitor over dp @144zh. the screen shuts off and on randomly...
when i select 60hz over dp the problem is gone. all over 60... the problem is back.
over dvi. there is no problem not even @144hz...
