Hey there, I am currently facing a problem with my G750 (GTX765M) and my DELL3007 monitor. At the moment I am trying to connect the notebook to the monitor using a "CSL Mini Display Port to Dual Link DVI cable", which has a capability to carry a resolution up to 2560x1600, which is what I am currently aiming for. But the problem is, that I am only getting a resultion of up to 1280x800, which is what a Single Link DVI cable would normally be capable of. I have already tried another MDP to DL DVI cable, which had the same problem.
So in short I am asking for advice here what to do next. One suspicion, that i had, is, that it might have something to do with the throughput of the Mini Display Port. So the next logical step would be to try out a HDMI to DL DVI cable, which however is only capable of 1920x1080p, which i think would be incapable of transmiting the right signal in order for it to work with the native resolution of the monitor.
Here is the cable that I am currently using:
CSL - 3m Mini DisplayPort auf DVI Kabel | 1080p |: Amazon.de: Elektronik
So does anyone have any idea, how i can fix this mess, so that i can use my notebook in conjunction with the dell monitor at a resolution of at least 1080p?
Thx in advance.
