my sound is normal in the left speaker and extremely low in the right speaker i have tried several different drivers still same issue my PC is also dual booted and same issue with xp and win 7 i have changed speakers and used 2 different sets of headphones. and the balance settings are normal ie not allthe way to one side so a bit stuck with this any help appreciated. (im not 100% sure but i think this happaned when i updated bios to ver 0515)

updated all your intel inf chipset drivers? if problem continues i would flash back to a bios that it doesn't do it with

Ok i flashed bios to all 3different available and still same issue guess will have to wait for the ASUS guys to respond. And yes did update chipset drivers (just done again just in case still same problem) thanks for the advice wazza.Last edited by BaronFel; 09-12-2010, 02:36 PM.

It sounds like one of the contacts in the audio header has come loose and would need to be RMA'd. If you've already tried various versions of audio drivers, chipset drivers, and flashing back to previous BIOS revisions, then it is most likely a hardware issue. I have a created case number for you regarding this issue: 974417. You can contact our motherboard RMA support at 812-282-2787 or RMA Submittal Form(USA and Canada Customers ONLY). You can contact ASUS UK Tech. Support at +44-870-120-8340 from 9:00-17:00 Mon.~Fri. You can also submit a technical support inquiry at ASUS Online Service and just make sure to choose UK from the country dropdown.
