Hey Everyone,
Ive been having an odd issue for a few years with my server. After a power outage or if I pull the IEC from the power supply my ASRock E3C226D2I will no longer boot. I can fix the issue by pulling the BIOS battery along with the power and holding the power button for 10 seconds. The issue will also resolve itself after waiting a number of days with no action.
One thing that I have noticed after the power outage is that the BMC led is no longer brightly lit and blinking while power is applied. You can see the light still has a very faint blink but it is almost not visible. Once I pull power and reset the BIOS the BMC LED will brightly flash and the motherboard will boot as expected.
It does this with 2 different known working power supplies.
Does anyone know the BMC LED codes for this MOBO? Could it be a VSB issues since the BMC LED is not powering?
ASRock E3C226D2I
BMC 00.28.00
BIOS 3.50
Intel Core i3-4130
2-16GB Kingston KVR13E9K2/16I
4-WD Red 3TB HDs
Server is running FreeNAS and the OS is stored on a flash drive in the MOBO USB port.
Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.
