Z87 Extreme 4 will not wake from sleep, code 32

This Z87 Extreme 4 had no problems until it suddenly quit waking from sleep. Sleep used to work normally. Debug posts code 32 when it will not wake. When it tries to wake (keyboard or mouse activity) the fans start normally but the system will not boot. It does post the 32 every time.

I have to power down and restart to boot the computer. Otherwise it works works normally. No other problems.

I upgraded the bios to 3.40 recently. Did this cause the sleep problem? Can I downgrade the bios?
