  • ASRock motherboard and Kingston 2x8GB DDR4 2666MHz HyperX Fury Black HX426C15FBK2/16 compatibility

Can someone help me if the ASRock X99 Extreme3 motherboard is compatible with this RAM: Kingston 2x8GB DDR4 2666MHz HyperX Fury Black HX426C15FBK2/16.
The memory list on ASRock's webpage doesn't include this RAM, but I guess it's only because the list isn't full.
Do you guys think that I can run this RAM on this motherboard?

Link for the motherboard: ASRock > X99 Extreme3

    Thank you in advance!

    Welcome to the forum.

I prefer to buy compatible memory that is listed in the memory manufacturer's list for my motherboard.

Check out the results from the Kingston Memory Search for your ASRock X99-Extreme3

edit: I clicked on View All in the Kingston list and searched for HX426C15FBK2/16; it is listed in the 8GB module section in the Kingston compatibility list.

Thank you so much for your answer, it helped me a lot. I was searching for days but somehow I couldn't find the page you sent me. I started to worry. The problem is that this will be my 1st PC built my myself, so my knowledge is poor yet...
The important thing is that I can order this RAM for this motherboard, they'll work fine, right?

      Thank you again!

          You're welcome.

To answer your question, they should work fine, Kingston has tested them with your board, but there are any number of things can go wrong with anything that you build, including computers.

I wish that every motherboard manual would have the following statement using big, bright, bold letters:

ALWAYS unplug the power supply's A.C. cord from the wall outlet BEFORE you remove or install ANY components.

One time I ignored this rule when moving an already installed cooling fan connector from one fan header to another fan header on the motherboard and managed to kill the first fan header! I was lucky that the rest of the motherboard was not damaged.

There are some excellent tutorials and videos on the web. Learn as much as you can before you start your build and take excellent notes about the do's and don'ts when building a computer system.

Good luck with your build, and let us know how everything works out.

BTW it's best if you can become a Google-Fu Master ASAP, but it takes time.
I don't bookmark any of the memory manufacturers' memory finder web pages, I just do a search such as:
          • kingston memory finder
          or
          • compatible memory finder
