  • ASRock x99e itx/ac won't post

    Hi guys,

I' ve just received a new sample of this board as replacement for the one which gave me the infamous whea logger event 17 error.

Now this motherboard won't boot at all! I've just installed it in the same exactly pc in which the old one was seated in with no luck.

Sometimes I can enter in the bios but can't do anything, like trying to update the bios which I presumed corrupted.

There is something I can do or do I need another RMA?

If this can help the motherboard gave me 5 beeps and a black screen

    What ca I do?

    Dear rozjan,
    I am ASRock TSD Danny.

For system unstable problem, we provide few ways for you to try.
1.Please only install necessary device(CPU,one stick memory) to check if the system can work properly.
2.Please change the memory slot by turns to try.
4.Please make sure the CPU cooler is contacted to CPU properly.
5.If possible, please change another suitable CPU and memory module for verify.

For five beeps sound and black screen, it's related to PCIE device detecting problem.
We provide few ways for you to try.
1.Please refer to user manual(page 23) to clear CMOS to try.
    User manual link:

2.Please reinstall VGA card for try.
3.Please re-install the CPU and check if the CPU socket pin bent.
4.If possible, please change another VGA card and CPU for verify.

    Have a great day !

      Thanks for the answer!

I could fix the video card problem but my pc kept to crush during bios.

Only a couple of times I could see the windows logo but inexorably the mashine crushed.

The pc kept to restart on a endless loop.

Before I replaced the motherbord the pc had no problem to start and was capable to load windows correctly.
