  • Moving old SSD from ASrock z77 Pro4m to Asrock X99m Killer/3.1 windows 10

I have a working computer with windows 10 (on an SSD) on an Asrock Z77 Pro4m.
I am building a new PC with the Asrock x99m Killer/3.1.
What do I have to do to keep windows 10 working on the new PC with the old SSD?

it depends on if you did the free in-place upgrade to Win 10. Now supposedly the in-place upgrade and any clean install you may have done afterwards is tied to the hardware (ie: motherboard) Win 10 was installed on. You MAY be able to just swap the SSD to the new system and do the by-phone reactivation through Microsoft. But I myself haven't done this.
