xeon e5-1650v3 (r3) compatibility

I am looking at Asrock Extreme6/3.1 motherboard which was just released in Australia. Xeon E5 1650-v3 (R2) is on the CPU compatibility list (R2=Revision 2). However only E5 1650-v3 (R3) is available. Is Revision 3 of Xeon 1650-v3 compatible with this board?

Dont you think that the R3 is the socket version, and not the revision of the processor?
