  • Z87 Extreme 6 not booting in SLI

Correction --- NOT displaying. It will boot fine, sorry.

I have 2 Zotac gtx980's that will boot individually in slots 2 and 3 but not when installed together.
I can hear windows just get no image.
I have a Seasonic 1200SS PS that is new so power is not an issue. Both cards light up fine.
I swapped the SLI bridge connections still nothing.

    Any thoughts?

Is this your first SLI setup? What OS are you using?

After installing both cards, did you clear the CMOS/BIOS before starting the PC again? That should be standard procedure whenever changing hardware.

Which card is the cable to the monitor connected to, and what interface are you using?

Is this being done on a new Windows installation, or existing one? Either way, was the Zotac/Nvidia graphics driver installed before you added the second card? You may have better luck by uninstalling your current video driver, then restart the PC so the default Windows video driver loads. Then shutdown and add the second card, and install the video driver.

Are you aware that SLI must be configured in the Nvidia Control Panel?

It's my first since the very first one ever made.
I did a bios reset tonight ... nada.
The monitor is connected to the top card via DVI.
Fresh Win 7 Pro 64 install Sunday with latest drivers.

I don't even see my bios login screens but I do hear Windows start to desktop.

I'll try the uninstall and see what happens, THANKS for the reply!!!!

Well, uninstalled the drivers. Rebooted, shut down, installed second card still no display.
