ASRock 970 extreme3 R2.0 - Low ram speed.

Hi,
I have bought ASRock 970 extreme3 with processor AMD fx8350 4.0-4.2Ghz (8 core) and ram 2 x kingston DDR3 8GB (1866mhz) . I ran a few tests and i have noticed that my results on ram speed are really low.
Here is a screenshot of memtest2 results.


Are this results normal or something is wrong on my configuration or bios settings?

here is my spec ram is 1920 after i over clocked the cpu,
your ram is a little slow but its close nuff.
you can manually set up timing for for your ram,i just used the auto oc thats in bios
my NB is manully set at 2600 i see yours is 2100.
if you start over clocking you will need a better cooling solution

Hi John,
Thank you for the quick answer and your suggestion to OC NB. But I don't need to overclock at this moment. I just want to know is my ram speed normal for this processor, motherboard and ram or there is problem with configurations.

P.S. Everything is on stock clock at the moment.

I am not sure where it is getting these speeds (Mhz)...

I put it on PRIORITY-HI below. Above was Default.




Not quite sure how read went down and write went way up....

Maybe this is not the best benchmarking software to use?

MaxxMem does not seem to like Windows 8 (8.1), as it cannot recognize it and locks up the PC before the benchmark even runs...

Ok, then it apparently does not like Intel based boards, or my particular processor.

Note in your screenshot that the OS is listed as, ", SP0 64bit Desktop System"

ManuteSwol's screen shot shows the OS as "Windows 7 Ultimate, 64bit, SP1, Desktop System".

When I ran it, it locked up the PC before the system information was even populated on its display. I also cannot start the benchmark, obviously, and could not kill the process will Task Manager.
