Asrock 990FX Extreme 9 and RAM Selection

Hi, I have a new 990FX Extreme 9 board and FX9590 CPU. Would 16mb (2 X 8mb) of Corsair Dominator Platinum PC3-14900 (1866) be a good combination? Don't want to order memory without asking first.

Most likely they will work but if you want 100% sureness you should buy the one listed on the compatibility RAM list.

If I buy from the compatibility RAM list should I stick to 1866mhz? Would/should 1866 modules from the list be stable without voltage tweeks?

I use the corsair dominator 2133MHz CL9 1,5V with FX8350 without any problems..
your Extreme9 is similar to my 990FX fatal1ty Professional, therefore you can put whatever you want.
