  • Asrock z97 Anniversary -- what the P key does exactly

In reference to the 'p' key that you can tap at POST to choose among several OC speeds, does anyone know what changes it makes behind-the-scenes?

Is it strictly the multiplier, or is it tweaking other things too, like voltage?

Voltage for the CPU is no doubt changed, or it is set to Auto which is Adaptive voltage, whose Auto setting may set the voltage high enough, or sets it to a higher value.

The CPU Input voltage will be increased, and might disable some of the power saving options.

If I know ASRock, the CPU Fan speed setting in HW Monitor will be set to Performance or Full On.

I'm sure this Pentium Anniversary Boost key does the same thing as any of the preset OC profiles that exist for any CPU, no reason for it to do anything else.

Interesting, so quite a number of things.
