Hi I just done a very stupid thing bios update from windows..... and now the motherboard do not start any more I try to take out the bios battery and put it back in the hope it will resert it but nothing any more ideas or is bricked for good. asrock z87 extreme4

Hi Daniel,
Don't panic, you are lucky, your motherboard has a "crashless BIOS" & a back-up BIOS chip.
You just need to check out the manual to see how to get it working.
There is a jumper next to the 2 chips to swap them, the middle of the 3 jumpers.
All located just above the cmos battery.
When updating the BIOS put the bios file on the root of USB drive in a USB2 port and it can recover from a crash.

It was very easy and quick to fix (just move jumper to boot from back up bios and copy from backup put the jumper back and done) I just panicked I didn't know about the nice future of the motherboard.
