ASRock Micro ATX DDR2 1066 AM2.AM3 Motherboard (960GC-GS FX)
can someone please confirm whether or not my AM2 processor the phenom II x4 940 will work in the above mentioned motherboard. ive read the spec page but im a lil confused so the clarity would be appreciated.

No, won't work. The 920 and 940 are strictly AM2+ processors and will not function properly in an AM3 or above board#1 - Please, when seeking help, enter the make and model of ALL parts that your system is comprised of in your Signature, or at least the model #'s in your System Specs, then "Save' it.

#2 - Consider your PSU to be the foundation from which all else is built upon. Anything built upon a weak foundation is poorly built. -
