  • Z87 Extreme3 ArdDrv service failed to start

Everytime I start A-Tuning i get a pop up error message that says "Driver cannot be loaded, reinstall the program may fix the issue, if it happens again, report the problem with your system configuration as detail as possible."

The only other clue I have is if I look in the microsoft management console event viewer there is an error logged that says:
    "ArdDrv service failed to start".

Does anyone have a suggestion how to fix this. I have xfast ram 3.0.3 and a-tuning 2.0.4.4 in a windows 7 home premium with all updates applied. Everything else appears to work ok as far as I can tell.

    Thanks for your thoughts

Re: Z87 Extreme3 ArdDrv service failed to start

#1 - Please, when seeking help, enter the make and model of ALL parts that your system is comprised of in your Signature, or at least the model #'s in your System Specs, then "Save' it.
____If you are overclocking, underclocking, or undervolting any parts, informing us of this and their values would prove beneficial in helping you.

#2 - Consider your PSU to be the foundation from which all else is built upon. Anything built upon a weak foundation is poorly built.

Ok I reentered the data into the profile as you requested. Also found my memory in the gskill configurator you suggested and used the power supply calculator to determine that 314-364 Watts is the recommended power supply but mine is twice that size. Anything else you need?

Thank you for the link. However I have seen it before and it does not solve anything for me other than confirm that the module was supplied by asrock despite the warning on the rweverything web site that says "This utility should not be used in commercial products." Is there something else I failed to see?

Last edit: This morning I decided to reinstall the o/s. Many hours later I am almost back in business. The issue with arddrv and xfast ram/a-tuning has not reappeared yet. Hopefully it stays that way. Many thanks to all for having a look at this over the last few days.
