  • AMD-RAID Array Config

Just built a new system with an FM2A78M-ITX MB. I'm trying to use the on board raid controller AMD-RAID Array config but when I go to create my array I can only select Raid 0 or Volume. I'd like to make a RAID5 array as this is going to be a media server but RAID5 is greyed out it says Insufficient License Level? BIOS is current 1.30. Any insight would be awesome. To me it sounds like this is some trial version and you can only do a few RAID arrays? I'm using 3 2tb hard drives.

    Re: AMD-RAID Array Config

The specs for your FM2A78M-ITX board include this: 6 x SATA3 6.0 Gb/s Connectors, support RAID (RAID 0, RAID 1 and RAID 10), NCQ, AHCI and Hot Plug.

Checking a bit further, it seems the A78 FCH chipset does not support RAID 5, sorry to say.
