  • Asrock Z87 Fatal1ty Killer and Purity Sound

I just picked up the Fatal1ty Killer for a new build and waiting for it to ship.

I did have a question about the Purity Sound.

Do I need to use the Headphone in jack to use the Purity Sound? If I use a USB headset, will that bypass the Purity Sound chip?

If your USB headset has a DAC and amplifier in it, then it would be using a digital signal for the audio, and not use the Purity sound.

Yep, I did see that pic and figured the USB would use it's own DAC, but wanted to be sure. Thanks for a clarification!
