FM2 A85-ITX Raid 0 + Raid 5 ?

Hi,

I manage to make my 2 SSD in Raid 0 with ctrl+F but when I want to create a Raid 5 with 5 Others HDD it shows me only 2...


1x Asrock FM2A85X-ITX (7 SATA)
1x AMD A8-5600K
1x G.Skill Sniper 16Go (2x8Go) PC14900 1866 Mhz 1.5V CL9
2x SSD Sandisk 128Go (Raid 0 OK)
5x WD Caviar Green - 3 To - SATA 6Go/s - 64 Mo (Raid 5 impossible with Ctrl+F show me only 2 ...)
1x SAPPHIRE ATI Radeon R9 270X 2G GDDR5 boost
1x Be Quiet Straight Power E9-580W CM

I can't make it in Windows 8 pro either ...
Is the motherboard able to drive two differents raids ?

First your board, are ALL your SATA ports configured for RAID? You must do that on AMD systems, since the SATA ports can be configured differently AFAIK.

You should be able to have two different RAID arrays on your board, of the same source, meaning AMD or Windows.

RAID 5 has a limit of four drives on many RAID implementations.

Check your SATA port configuration in the BIOS, and your board's manual on this topic.

Yes in my Bios I am using RAID mode (I tried Raid 5 mode too) but nothing change.
When I created my Raid 0 SSD I saw all 7 drives availlable in Ctrl + F.
But now It's still only two drives availlable.
Maybe there is a limitation in the number of manageable drives in raid with this motherboard.

Ok so It seems that, after research, Win8 pro can't do Raid 5 but a pool of disk (1To wasted with this solution). So I need to use Windows Serv.
And for the mother board it will remain a question without answer. (Asrock sucks)
