  • No picture on my monitor

    Hello,

I just finished putting together my system using the ASRock 970 Extreme motherboard.
    AMD Sempron processor
    4GB RAM stick
    Seagate Barracuda SATA hard drive
MSI Radeon 290 R9 video card
    AX1200I Corsair power supply
    keyboard,mouse,monitor all hooked up

I turn it on. It powers up. The red numbers near the power button say "d6"

I get no video signal. The monitor works fine on another computer. What am I missing? What haven't I done?

    I'm a novice BTW

    Thank you

Nevermind... I'm an idiot and double checked the power cords were hooked into the GPU. One wasn't. It works now.

Ha! Funny how that works, huh.

Don't be ashamed. You're not the fist to have done that.
#1 - Please, when seeking help, enter the make and model of ALL parts that your system is comprised of in your Signature, or at least the model #'s in your System Specs, then "Save' it.
____If you are overclocking, underclocking, or undervolting any parts, informing us of this and their values would prove beneficial in helping you.

#2 - Consider your PSU to be the foundation from which all else is built upon. Anything built upon a weak foundation is poorly built.
