  • Asrock Extreme series motherboard's owner's club

I want to create owners club to discuss about motherboars and overclocking also people will no longer need to create separate thread for everything , can moderators make this thread sticky.

Re: Asrock Extreme series motherboard's owner's club

No, this thread will not become a sticky because:
    • ASRock > Extreme Motherboard Series shows that there are currently 34 different Extreme motherboard models
    • there must be a compelling amount of well organized information, some of which may not be readily available elsewhere
    • if there are too many stickies in a forum, the sticky list will take up too much space in the forum list

Some threads like http://forums.tweaktown.com/gigabyte...ners-club.html might be very popular over time, but will not become a sticky because the product's lifetime is limited.

Re: Asrock Extreme series motherboard's owner's club

A decent idea in general, but as ProfJim said, and I must agree, it's just to generic, even for the Extreme series boards.

The main reason is, every Intel CPU and chipset pair like Sandy Bridge/6 series chipsets, Ivy Bridge/7 series chipsets, and now Haswell/8 series chipsets, vary quite a bit. What applies to one generation does not automatically apply to the next.

Sure a few things are the same or similar, but a single thread for all three generations of Intel, plus I did not even mention AMD! That would be a huge mess of a thread!

The Gigabyte sub-forum tends to go by specific board model, which makes sense. Sure they have the modded BIOS thread but that is simply, "here's the modded BIOS", "got one for my XYZ board", etc. Not really an issue discussion thread.

I count about 33 ASR Extreme boards, and that is just what are considered "current" production. Many more exist.

How would you even organize that?

An exercise in frustration and or futility.

As you say, more specificity in each Topic would aid greatly.
#1 - Please, when seeking help, enter the make and model of ALL parts that your system is comprised of in your Signature, or at least the model #'s in your System Specs, then "Save' it.
____If you are overclocking, underclocking, or undervolting any parts, informing us of this and their values would prove beneficial in helping you.

#2 - Consider your PSU to be the foundation from which all else is built upon. Anything built upon a weak foundation is poorly built.

Gigabye section already has far more sticky threads than Asrock's. It doesn't need to be specially organised, just anyone with Extreme motherboards regardless of generation should be able to discuss in this thread. Extreme series in general doesnt have limited lifetime thats why I didnt create for example Asrock Z87 owner's club.

So consider making this thread sticky.

I believe an answer to your request was given in post #2.

You'll need to do better making your case than simply disagreeing with two moderators.

Frankly, given you have a total of 26 posts in this forum, you need to build up (actually, create) a reputation for yourself before requesting a topic be made into a sticky.

You want this thread to be a sticky.
Your approach appears to be that anyone can post anything they want about any of the ASRock Extreme series motherboards.

The TweakTown ASRock forum already has a sticky thread that has no logical structure and it is impossible to follow posts and their replies.
The name of this thread is http://forums.tweaktown.com/asrock/3...ort-forum.html

Case closed, your thread does not even come close to ever becoming a sticky.

Little heavy handed approach buddy there is nowhere specified in faq or forum rules that bumping threads is prohibited other users bumped threads and you did not threaten to ban them no reason for getting hostile just because I asked to consider making this thread sticky.
