ASrock b85m-itx win 8.1 install issue

i have just built a new system using the b85m-itx mobo with a ocz 120gb ssd. i am trying to install windows 8.1 from fresh and as soon as i select the language its asking for a driver to be installed and i have tried all the drivers on the cd and have also downloaded a few drivers from their website all to no luck.

can anyone help me?

You should not need to install a driver, what model of OCZ SSD are you using? A few older models are not compatible with Haswell systems.

Otherwise, the driver you could use is this one from your board's download page: SATA Floppy Image ver:12.8.0.1016

Ignore the "Floppy" thing, when you unzip the download file, put the six or seven files on the root/main folder of a USB flash drive and put it in a USB 2.0 port.

Windows should recognize the flash drive and drivers.

Thanks for the reply, It is an OCZ Agility 3,

I have been doing some more research and a few people talk about possibly a corrupt ISO that I used to burn the 8.1 cd. I am going to re-download the ISO and give that a try.

Many older model ssd's are not compatible with and will not work with Haswell systems.

A web search using haswell ssd problems will provide more information.

I believe the OCZ Agility 3 is compatible with haswell as I have seen other peoples build part list that includes both haswell and the agility 3.

can anyone confirm either way?

The agility 3 uses the SF-2281 controller.

The Agility 3 should be fine with the 2281 controller, it is the Vertex 2 that is not compatible with Haswell, or any SSD that uses the Sandforce 1200 controller.
