  • H77m-itx msi gtx 770

    Hi,

ich have a H77M-iTX ( Bios 1.7)motherboard and it functions well with my GTX 570 card. Now i switched to a N770 TF 2GD5/OC MSI (http://de.msi.com/product/vga/N770-T...l#overview)and the board did not recognize this 770 card. It just uses the onboard graphics. Also in systemmanager there isnt any info, that there is an additional card to the onboard graphics.
Power Supply is from Enermax and has 730W. (Works fine)

The 770 functions well in my other PC and a Gigaybyte Z87 DS3H board.

    Welcome to the forum.

This problem sometimes happens with newer video cards and flashing your motherboard with a special beta bios is often needed to fix the problem.

Send a private message to ASRock TSD - Emily, include a link to this thread, and ask her to reply in your thread.

You need to provide detailed hardware information so that a solution can be found sooner.

We need detailed information about ALL OF THE HARDWARE in your system.

We can best help you after you create a detailed hardware list in the System Specs
portion of your forum profile at the bottom of the profile page or in your forum signature.
Be sure to include brand names and model numbers.
When you are done editing or creating your hardware list, save the settings.

        You're welcome.
It might take several days for Emily to contact you.

Your detailed hardware list will help speed things up.
ASRock TSD might want to verify your problem by testing with the same or similar hardware.

Please edit your original post and add the N770 TF 2GD5/OC MSI model information, even though it is listed in your PC Specs.

            Re: H77m-itx msi gtx 770

            Dear Motormike,

Because we don't have MSI GTX770 VGA card, I test it with Gigabyte GTX770 VGA card and the card works normally.
            Below is my system configuation.
            M/B: H77M-ITX
            CPU: i7-2600K
            Memory: DDR3-1600 8GB
            VGA: GTX770
            BIOS: P1.70
            OS: Windows 7 64bit

After installing Nvidia VGA driver, the card still works without any problem.
Please refer to below suggesions to try again.
            1. Re-flash BIOS P1.70

              Re: H77m-itx msi gtx 770

              Hi Emily,

              thanks for your help.
I reflashed it, and the videocard still will not be recognized. I tried Gen 1, 2 and 3 also. It just stays at the onboard graphics and is also not seen in manager.
I did more tests now. All with the same parts except Prozessor. All other videocards i have, functions well at the h77m itx board.

              MSI GTX 770

H77 Gigabyte Board (also 1155, 2500k) did also not recognize the card. (Known issue, fixed due update from Gigabyte)

M5A78L-M Asus Board do recognize the videocard. (FM)
All Z87 (1150, 4670k) Boards i tested do recognize the videocard. (Asus, Gigabyte, MSI) sorry no Asrock to test, the H77 is my first.

              MSI GTX 570

              All Mainboards recognize this card

              MSI GTX 260

              All Mainboards recognize this card

I also tested a GTX 760 which will not be recognized from the Asrock H77M ITx board

                Hi Emily,

i got also today a AMD R9 290X in Reference design.
This videocard will also not be recognized from H77M ITX board. Shall i do a new thread about this?

The cross test with the R9 290X in the other boards was gone well and it functioend everywhere except in the Asrock Board.
It would be much appreciated if u can help to solve this issue. I think it needs a Bios for this new cards.

                regards

                Mike
