    extreme 11 bios sound effect

    My sound effect is enabled in the bios under tools and does not work for some reason. Would anyone know why. Also while in the bios the computer froze up for an unknown reason. I am getting an A2 error before entering the bios and an A6 error once in the bios. I would love to get my sound effect going in the bios. Thanks

    You haven't given us a lot of info to work with ... what chipset? What bios version?

    My guess is you're on an older (or not yet fixed) bios ... I've had problems with the sound on the Z87 Extreme 6, the sound would often lock up the machine, which I could work around by disabling it. The lockups have been fixed in a later bios version, after we reported them here.

      Thanks for the reply, my bios version is p3.00 and its a x79 chipset. I am using windows 7 ultimate with 1 kit of 32 gigs of ram being corsair cmz32gx3m4x1866c10r.
