Will the LSI controller on the X79 Extreme11 operate with individual drives?

Im going to have all sorts of sata drives attached to the controller, and they need to be individual, not RAID of any kind.

Im sure it does, just checking.

Yes it does. I have 7 drives an a dvd burner attached. They all work.

It should also perform better than this Extreme9 with its pathetic Marvell 91xx controller.
