  • Z77 Extreme4 & RAID on SATA3?

In the technical specs of the board (Z77 Extreme4) it says the following:

    SATA: 4X SATA3 Ports (one connector is shared with eSATA3 port), Two Support RAID 0, 1, 5, 10; 4X SATA2 Ports, Support RAID 0, 1, 5, 10

So, am I to understand that RAID 5, 10 cannot be setup via the SATA3 ports, as only 2 of them support RAID?
So I would have 2 drives on SATA3 ports, & 1 on SATA2 in order to configure RAID5?
    How does this make sense?
Thanks in advance for any assistance!

correct, no sataIII parity raid re this platform, though, yes, you can have parity, but you will be running sataII speeds mixing them up re in parity/raid.
