Must reset NIC after every reboot

Putting together a small system for my sister using an N68C-GS FX motherboard, Phenom x4 9500 CPU, 4GB OCZ Platinum PC2 6400. Every time I reboot (Windows 7 32-bit) there is no Internet connectivity until I disable the NIC and then re-enable it.

Any clues where to start? This is a brand-new installation.
