Re: asrock 4coredualsata2 crash nvidia gtx 550 ti

The latest driver version might be part of the problem.
Make sure that you download a driver version that is compatible with XP.
Drivers | GeForce recommends 306.81 - WHQL for XP and your card.

In post #1 you said you are running win XP.
I can't help you further until you follow the instructions in post #2 and provide a complete list of your hardware details.

Go into the Advanced chipset settings in the BIOS (ver 2.20) and disable
              PCIE Downstream Pipeline
              PCIE VC1 Request Queue

Running a ASUS GTX 550 ti on the same board. Works great.

              Hope this helps

Re: asrock 4coredualsata2 crash nvidia gtx 550 ti

I made my own thread but there is not any response there.

I have the same motherboard as the thread starter and a GigaByte GeForce GTX 650 graphics card.
The problem with me is that i dont receive any signal at my display. The same card works fine to other PCs, while my Pc works fine with my previous card (Geforce 8400 GS).

After a lot of effort i concluded that ASRock 4coredualsata2 and GigaByte GeForce GTX 650 are incompatible (probably IRQ issues), which is really frustrating and gives me a hard time. I could get an ASUS GTX 650 but it does not include OpenGL that i need for games (Dota2 - Steam).

Maybe the same thing happens with this situation, although there is not any info about the card manufacturer of the thread starter.

PS. PCIE Downstream Pipeline and PCIE VC1 Request Queue Disabled option does not work to me.

It looks as if they stopped supporting this motherboard 3 years ago..(its 5 years old) your brand new technology GTX650 (PCI-E 3.0 capable) is not going to work without some kind of hack, I would suggest you purchase either a new motherboard to take full advantage of your graphics cards capabilities or buy a card that will be compatible with your current motherboard, looks like the newest video cards supported are the ATI HD-4XXX series.

sorry to bring you the bad news :(
