  • IS my ASRock motherboard Dead?

    Hey guys, i just got an ASRock p67 extreme4 Gen3 LGA 1155 motherboard and i put an i5-3750k ivybrige cpu and a ASUS hd7850 graphic cards in it, but im getting no video output, i put the 7850 card in another computer and it ran fine so i dont think its that. any help or suggestions?

    Your board is originally a P67 chipset/Sandy Bridge CPU mother board, which requires a certain version of the UEFI/BIOS to run an Ivy Bridge CPU. You may not have the necessary version in your board.

    Any idea what UEFI version you have? ASRock usually puts a label on the CMOS chip, so you'll need to check that.

    Your CPU is supported from UEFI/BIOS version 2.10 forward.

    If you have an earlier version, your board will not work with your CPU, and the video card is not the issue.
