Re: SSA Controller "no driver found"

Looks like a bad usb3.0 controller chip
    Downloaded latest drivers from AsRock
and ver 1.0.0.112 Etron EJ168 driver direct from Etron's website
    all no good
even purchased a usb3.0 flash drive to see if it worked at all.
    Nothing
Will need to call newegg for replacement

Etron... hmm, never heard of them before. Looks like this is one of the few boards that use that chip.

Is it enabled in the UEFI? There is an option for that, although most people would consider it useless, the manual does not show the default value, I would hope it is enabled.

Did you install ALL your other drivers first? Particularly the chipset drivers? The Intel ME software too. I would install the Etron driver last, in case it needs something from the others.

I doubt the USB3.0 ports will work at all without the driver, so the USB 3.0 flash drive may not have helped.

Re: SSA Controller "no driver found"

I grabbed many free drivers from the internet and
it looks like I found a build for win8 (build115) that works.
I was all ready to give up.
I guess I missed the tag for win8 and just tried it.
        Talk about luck
        Thanks.
